Carla del Ponte's book is a collection of shocking facts about the war in the former Yugoslavia. The publication of the book was accompanied by an international scandal: the ex-prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia made monstrous revelations of war crimes of that period. For example, del Ponte describes the events of 1999, when Kosovo Liberation Army militants abducted more than three hundred people, including women from Kosovo, Albania, Russia and other Slavic states, for the clandestine trade in human organs. The result is that criminal cases have been initiated in Serbia based on the facts presented by the ex-prosecutor; book launches have been canceled everywhere; in some countries the book was banned from publication altogether. The book is published in Russian for the first time, and now readers will be able to learn the shocking details of the Balkan conflict and try to find the answer to the question that has worried the entire world community: why the prosecutor of the International Tribunal hid the truth for 5 years.< /p>
