"Great is our God." This collection of short stories by Patricia St. John is intended to lead young readers to true faith, to help them know the Lord better, so that, as they admire His Word and works, they can respond with faith and action. The events taking place in these stories relate to different countries of the world and different centuries. These stories are a kind of parables illustrating biblical sayings. The focus of such a story-parable, as a rule, is the main idea. There are also secondary thoughts in the stories, but you cannot try to “transfer” each thought separately to the works of God, otherwise the story-parable will be oversaturated. At the end of each such story there is a small afterword entitled “Key”, “Prayer” and “Think”, which helps to more accurately capture the main idea contained in the story and concentrate attention on it.
