Автор майстерно створює атмосферу безнадії та страху, але водночас показує, що навіть у найтемніші часи можна знайти промінь надії. Персонажі, зокрема Чорний Франкенштейн і Сестра Жах, вражають своєю глибиною та еволюцією. Їхні пошуки сенсу життя, боротьба з внутрішніми демонами та зовнішніми загрозами роблять цю книгу надзвичайно емоційною та захоплюючою.
