Я був вражений, як автор вдало поєднує історичні факти з аналітичним підходом, розкриваючи роль флотів Голландії та Франції у боротьбі за морське панування. Книга сповнена захоплюючих деталей про видатних флотоводців та їхні стратегії, що робить її не лише пізнавальною, але й надзвичайно цікавою для читання. Хоча переклад тексту має деякі недоліки, загальна якість викладу і глибина дослідження вражають.
