The study of the Finnish literary critic is devoted to the work of Anatoly Borisovich Mariengof (1897–1962) and the principles of the imagist text. The author examines not only imagism as a historical and cultural phenomenon in general, but also Mariengof’s imagism, based primarily on the analysis of his novel “The Cynics” (1928), which is rich in autobiographical overtones and is a kind of chronicle of the era.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
