The book includes scientifically prepared translations of the works of famous late Roman historians - “A Brief History from the Foundation of the City” by Eutropius, works of Sextus Aurelius Victor on the history of Ancient Rome, “Lives of the Sophists” by Eunapius. The authors, one of the last representatives of the pagan cultural intelligentsia, seem to sum up with their creativity the centuries-old development of the Roman historical school.
