There is a general Max Гофман in the memoirs - one of the higher German military leaders of period 1914-1918 - analyses reasons of defeat of Germany in First world war. The most interesting pages of book are the detailed remembrances about participating of Germany and Great Britain in preparation of revolution in Russia. Гофман played a basic role in the conclusion of the Brest world with bolshevists. For the sake of this world he created the whole states. "In to reality Ukraine is this matter of my hands, and quite not creation of conscious will of the Russian people. Nobody other, as I, created Ukraine, to have the opportunity to make peace even with one part of Russia". - he talked in one of interviews.In Russia a book went out a limit drawing in 1925. It was afterwards withdrawn from libraries and placed in спецхран. Not reprinted since.Preface to the book, reflecting a spirit it to time, the known soviet historian Vladimir Гурко-Кряжин wrote.
