Івар Тревельян, головний герой, стає свідком не лише розвитку первісних гуманоїдів, але й складних стосунків зі своїми колегами, які виявляються не менш загадковими, ніж інопланетяни. Особливо вразила динаміка між персонажами та їхні емоційні переживання, які роблять їх живими і близькими. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією.
