Принц Роджер, незважаючи на свою неприязнь до ролі, яку йому відведено, стає справжнім героєм, коли опиняється на дикій планеті Mapдук. Автор майстерно змальовує небезпечні джунглі та виклики, з якими стикаються герої, що робить читання неймовірно захоплюючим. Взаємини між персонажами, їхній розвиток і боротьба за виживання створюють атмосферу напруження та емоцій. Хоча переклад місцями може бути недосконалим, це не заважає загальному враженню від книги.
