Автор майстерно поєднує наукові концепції з емоційною складовою, зображуючи боротьбу безробітного вченого Джона Формана, який намагається врятувати свою родину від небезпеки. Ця книга не лише про технології, а й про людські стосунки, відвагу та відповідальність. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючим сюжетом.
