When the god of wine and ecstasy, Dionysus, callously abandons the last woman he has conquered, the mortal Ariadne, the goddess Hera decides that he has done enough. She deprives Dionysus of his memory in order to teach him a lesson and teach him humility. Ariadne is deeply hurt by the fact that Dionysus perceives their night of passion as “just sex” and does not want to see her anymore. And when she finds him, bloodied and beaten, suffering from memory loss, she quickly comes up with a plan to reunite with him. Posing as his bride, Ariadne makes Dionysus believe that he loves her. But the longer the deception lasts, the more difficult it is to understand who will actually teach the lesson to whom. And what will happen if Dionysus’ memory returns? Will she pay in full for her lies, or will a mortal woman really be able to win the love of a god?
