“The Dagger of Discord” is the story of modern Romeo and Juliet, or rather, not quite modern ones - from some details you can determine that the action takes place approximately in the 60-70s of the 20th century somewhere in Italy. However, both time and place do not matter - after all, the story of love and discord is immortal. Once upon a time there lived a stingy duchess who loved squabbles and intrigue. For the sake of entertainment (and with the far-reaching goal of quarreling her vassals), she gives the two best families of rare work a dagger in a precious sheath: one family - a scabbard, the other - a weapon. A joke with meaning: these two families should be united by a wedding. Guests arrive, gifts are prepared - and in the chaos the gift disappears. Both families accuse each other of theft and lies... and the feud lasts for many centuries. Genevieve Medinos and Bartholomew Mediches meet by chance away from home, unaware that they belong to feuding families. They don’t even have time to tell each other’s last names - but, of course, they manage to fall in love, and of course - for life. But in order to live this life together, in love and harmony, they will have to reconcile families full of contradictions and prejudices, and to do this, they will have to find the dagger that started the long-standing enmity.
