In December 1926, the name of Agatha Christie appeared on the front pages of all English newspapers: the famous writer disappeared from her home in Berkshire. Eleven days later she was found in a fashionable Yorkshire hotel: according to the writer, she was a victim of amnesia and did not remember how she got there. Until the publication of this book, none of the biographers of the English detective queen had been able to offer a viable version of why she disappeared. The question of whether Agatha Christie really lost her memory remained open. In her memoirs, Agatha Christie never mentioned this event. “The only biography that tells the true story of Agatha. No one could surpass Jared Cade in understanding her personality" (Judith and Graham Gardner, relatives of Agatha Christie).
