“A Tale with Details” by Grigory Oster is the first hypertext novel for young children. The main characters of the novel are the director of the carousel and seven wooden horses, to whom the director tells fairy tales every night. One night the director reports that all the fairy tales are over and now he will tell the last one. This is a fairy tale about a boy Fedya, who quarreled and then made peace with his mother. One of the horses interrupts the director and asks for details of what happened to the other characters in the fairy tale that same day. Funny and fascinating “details” occupy most of the novel.
