The Battle of Agincourt took place on October 25, 1415 and became a turning point not only in the Hundred Years' War between England and France, but also in the history of warfare. Henry V's stunning victory revived England's military glory and greatly strengthened his territorial claims in France. The exhausted English army was attacked by the numerically superior French, but the limited battlefield favored a more united English army. The undisciplined attacks of the French, combined with the exceptional skill of the English archers, contributed to a turning point in European warfare. No more than 1,600 British soldiers were killed; the French probably lost more than 6,000 men.

Вражаюча історія про героїзм та стратегію!
Книга "Азенкур: Генріх V і битва, яка прославила Англію" є неймовірно захоплюючим дослідженням однієї з найзначніших битв в історії. Автор детально описує не лише військові стратегії, але й емоційний стан солдатів, які боролися за свою країну в умовах відчаю та чисельної переваги ворога. Читач має можливість відчути атмосферу того часу, зрозуміти, чому ця битва стала поворотним моментом у Столітній війні. Особливо вражає опис майстерності англійських лучників, які, незважаючи на свою меншість, змогли здобути перемогу завдяки чіткій стратегії та дисципліні. Хоча текст перекладений за допомогою штучного інтелекту і в деяких місцях може бути не зовсім коректним, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю книги. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією, військовою справою та героїзмом, адже вона не лише інформативна, але й надихає!
