"The Interlopers" is a short story written by the British writer Saki. This work tells the story of two hostile families arguing over the ownership of a forest in a mountainous area. One night, on the edge of their territories, they meet, ready to settle their disputes once and for all. However, unexpectedly for both of them, the situation changes dramatically due to a terrible event that forces the heroes to rethink their relationship and their own beliefs. Through masterful wordplay and deep philosophical musings, Saki highlights the ambivalence of human nature and the pitfalls of eternal conflict. "Invaders" is a touching story about pain, revenge and fate, which will leave the reader in suspense.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
