Sherwood Anderson (1876–1941) is one of the outstanding short story writers of the 20th century, a recognized classic of American literature. He became famous after the release of the collection “Winesburg, Ohio” about life in a provincial town in the Midwest. Anderson's work had a huge influence on the development of American literature, on the formation of such masters as Hemingway, Faulkner, Steinbeck, Wolfe. The book includes stories from the collections "Winesburg, Ohio", "The Triumph of the Egg", "Horses and Men", "Death in forest."
