One day he sent ambassadors to Europe to tell them about him and his subjects, and in order to give the ambassadors’ words more faith, he presented them with a priceless manuscript presented by the Magi to the newborn Christ. Over time, many rumors and speculations arose around the manuscript, and in the end its trace was lost through the centuries. St. Petersburg housewife Nadezhda Lebedeva believed that the story about the manuscript was nothing more than a legend, an invention of the monks.
