However, "Avatar" shares with other books by Poul Anderson the writer's view of the world and society. As in many other works, the main conflict in the novel is the clash between free will, search, thought (and entrepreneurship - for the libertarian Anderson these concepts are inextricably linked) and a rigid system that is trying “for the sake of the common good” to control every human step and direct the development of humanity into a dead end of eternal stagnation. Цей роман Пола Андерсона справді вартий уваги, адже він пропонує читачеві глибокі роздуми про свободу волі та суспільні системи. У "Мири" автор майстерно зображує конфлікт між індивідуальністю та жорсткими соціальними структурами, які намагаються контролювати кожен аспект життя людини. Читачі можуть відчути, як важливо зберігати свою свободу та незалежність у світі, де контроль і обмеження стають нормою. Хоча роман не належить до серії, він все ж таки відображає характерні риси творчості Андерсона, зокрема його лібертаріанські погляди. Якість перекладу, хоча й має деякі недоліки, не заважає загальному сприйняттю твору. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує глибокі філософські роздуми в поєднанні з захоплюючим сюжетом
