The author of this book, Vladlen Terentyevich Loginov, is a Soviet and Russian historian, a specialist in the history of the October Revolution and the Civil War, and a film playwright. The book is dedicated to the last period of the life and work of V.I. Lenin - from the end of the Civil War in Russia to Lenin’s “testament”. Often authors, writes V.T. Loginov, telling about certain historical figures, is in a hurry to tell the world not what these personalities thought about, what they wrote, said and did, not about the circumstances under which this happened and what was the general context of history, but about what do they, the authors, think about this? V.T. Loginov set himself a different task: “To convey to the reader what Lenin did, said, wrote, and thought about in these difficult years. Hence the abundance of quotes, which, of course, complicates the narrative, but it is much better if the reader, reflecting on Lenin’s texts, comes to some conclusions himself, rather than pushing into him something digested in someone else’s head.”* * *This electronic edition of Vladlen’s book Loginov’s “Sim Victory” is based on the first paper edition, which was published by the Algorithm publishing house in 2017. At the same time, this is not a copy, but an independent and original version of the book, which has a number of significant and important differences. Here are the main ones. Numerous typos made by the Algorithm publishing house have been corrected. The text was edited, during which some sentences were subjected to stylistic changes. When checking the compliance of footnotes to sources, more than thirty errors were identified and corrected. Editing and correction were carried out with the direct consultation of V.T. Loginov, who agreed to the free distribution of this version. The main goal of this electronic publication is to convey to the reader the work not distorted by errors and typos Vladlena Loginova. For ease of use, we have, if possible, retained the page numbering that was in the version of the Algorithm publishing house. The following people worked on the publication: Dmitry Pokrov (proofreading, checking footnotes), Elena Vitalievna Zorina (editing and proofreading), Alexander Kommari (scanning the paper edition), Vladlen Terentyevich Loginov (consultation).

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
