Long ago, Jebu's father, a valiant Mongol military leader known as Dzamuga the Insidious, fled to the Land of the Rising Sun from the Mongol conqueror Genghis Khan, who sentenced Dzamuga and his followers to death. He married a woman from the Land of the Rising Sun, became the father of Dzebu, and was then hunted down and killed by one of Genghis Khan's generals, Arghun Bahadur. Jebu was rescued by the Order of fearsome warrior monks. Taitaro, the local superior of the Order, married Jebu's mother and adopted him. Raised as a Zinja warrior from childhood, Jebu grew up to be a tall, red-haired man with gray eyes, with features common to many Mongolian families, which, to his regret, set him apart from other residents of the Land of the Rising Sun.

Книга "Монах: час драконів" вражає своєю глибиною та емоційною наповненість. Автор майстерно поєднує історичні елементи з фантастичними, створюючи унікальний світ, в якому читач може зануритися. Історія Дзебу, сина доблесного воєначальника, наповнена пригодами, боротьбою за справедливість та пошуками власного місця в світі. Виховання в Ордені грізних воїнів-ченців додає глибини персонажу, а його внутрішня боротьба між спадщиною та новими цінностями робить його дуже близьким і зрозумілим. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, загальна якість та емоційна насиченість книги компенсують це. Рекомендую всім, хто любить епічні історії про героїв та їхні пригоди!
