Іван Морозов, головний герой, проходить шлях від слабкого видобутку до справжнього мисливця, і це перетворення описано настільки майстерно, що читач відчуває всі його переживання і труднощі. Автор вдало передає дух боротьби за виживання в новому світі, де кожен вибір має значення. Цікаво спостерігати, як Іван починає формувати власні обставини, а не просто плине за течією. Взаємини з іншими персонажами, зокрема з коханою, додають глибини сюжету і роблять його ще більш захоплюючим. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків, загалом, книга читається легко і цікаво.
