In the auto repair shop where Munch works, her former lover Garillo appears. He says that he must leave on a very urgent matter and asks his long-time girlfriend to look after his one-year-old daughter, whose mother has died. Despite Munch's protests, the guy leaves, leaving her the key to the apartment with the baby. The heroine has no choice: she goes after the girl, but suddenly sees a gunned-out truck with a dead Garillo on the road.
