James Blish (1921–1975) - classic of the “golden age” of American science fiction, had a huge influence on the development of the genre and forever remained one of the brightest figures of this genre. This book includes the “best of the best” in Blish’s creative heritage: the Hugo-59 award-winning novel “A Matter of Conscience” - one of the first science fiction books , exploring religious problems, is the “pantropical” cycle “Sowers for the Stars”, of which the Russian reader is familiar only with the story “Surface Tension”, as well as the novels “Knave of Trumps” and “Black Easter”.
