The novel “Christensen's Circus” was published in 2006, it was in this year that one of the most famous Norwegian writers Lars Soby Christensen celebrated the 30th anniversary of his creative activity. The action of the book begins in Paris, at a book fair, where the hero, a famous writer, comes to give a lecture on the current state of Scandinavian literature. But an unexpected incident - the hero falls from the stage - dramatically changes the course of the narrative, and we are transported to Oslo in the 60s, where he spent his childhood. Together with a thirteen-year-old teenager who hired a job as a messenger in a flower shop to fulfill his dream of buying an electric guitar, we find ourselves in various parts of the city, find ourselves in very unusual situations, and meet a variety of people. The dream is not destined to come true, but a chance acquaintance with a mysterious stranger, a former aerialist, whose secret the boy seeks to unravel, produces a revolution in his mind.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
