Цей роман справді захоплює з перших сторінок, занурюючи читача в атмосферу Ірландії середини ХІХ століття. Історія одинадцятирічної дівчинки, яка протягом чотирьох місяців обходиться без їжі, ставить багато питань про природу віри, маніпуляцій та справжніх чудес. Автор майстерно сплітає елементи сенсації та глибокої людської драми, змушуючи читача задуматися про те, що насправді відбувається в цьому маленькому селі. Кожен персонаж має свою унікальну історію, а сюжет тримає в напрузі до самого кінця. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно заважають сприйняттю тексту, я вважаю, що ця книга варта уваги. Вона залишає після себе багато думок і емоцій, а також запитань про віру, надію та людську природу. Рекомендую всім, хто шукає глибокі та зворушливі історії!
