This morning is yours, entirely, undividedly, and then there will be a day, also yours, and more days, alone with the wind and the sea. There are many such amazingly clear moments in a sailing holiday. We are so confident in their unconditionality that without hesitation we drag our children, friends, colleagues – everyone we can reach onto the yacht – so that they have their chance to experience one day such a sunny morning the feeling of complete freedom. And it seems to us that it is very simple. Gather friends and loved ones, sketch out a route, negotiate with an agent about the yacht. Then, one day, set sail and go to sea. Like the Argonauts once upon a time, and like the heroes of this book. What awaits you at sea? As in those times - the joy of discovery, the joy of learning about the world, people, oneself. The element is sometimes affectionate, sometimes merciless. I agree, it can be difficult. But all this, you understand, everything, is immediately discarded and forgotten, as soon as one day at dawn you see a strip of previously unseen land on the horizon.
