Цей роман дійсно вражає своєю глибиною та емоційною насиченістю. Авторка майстерно переплітає жорстокість злочинного світу з ніжністю особистих переживань головного героя, Джино-Тарана. Його шлях від бідного емігранта до впливового гравця в Лас-Вегасі показує, наскільки складним і драматичним може бути життя в умовах жорстокої конкуренції. Особливо вразила особиста драма Джино, його втрата коханої дружини та сина, що надає сюжету ще більшої ваги і емоційності. Книга читається на одному диханні, і я не могла відірватися, поки не дійшла до останньої сторінки. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не зменшує загального враження від твору. Рекомендую всім, хто любить глибокі та емоційні історії про життя у світі злочинності!
