The value of this novel is that it was written hot on the heels of the events in May 1917. It bears the imprint of the socio-political sentiments of that time, but as a result, it is distinguished by high emotionality, tendentious selection and some one-sided interpretation of historical facts and phenomena, and has a pronounced revealing character. At the same time, the novel is distinguished by deep truthfulness, since it was written on a strictly documentary basis and is perhaps the first monograph (and this is how the author evaluates his work) about Emperor Nicholas. Included in the collection Nicholas II (Volume I).
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
