The Drakonid Codex continues the story begun in The Doomed Brigade. The dying race of draconian warriors, created by the forces of Darkness during the War of the Spear, received a chance to survive, the opportunity to become a full-fledged people of Krynn. But this is not part of the plans of the Lady of Darkness. After a year of wandering, a brigade of draconians, pursued by goblins, finds itself on the brink of death. In search of refuge, the draconians take refuge in the fortress of General Maranta, a powerful aurak who holds the secret of the “Heart of Drakart”. And soon strange and incomprehensible things begin to happen in the fortress. Meanwhile, countless armies of goblins and hobgoblins, controlled by the forces of Darkness, are closing the ring and preparing for the assault.
