This publication is the first collected works of Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov (1891–1940). The first volume includes his early works: “Notes of a Young Doctor”, the novel “The White Guard”, stories from the early 20s: “The Extraordinary Adventures of a Doctor” , “Morphine”, “Raid”, etc. The second volume contains the stories “Diaboliad”, “Fatal Eggs”, “Heart of a Dog” and selected stories and feuilletons from 1921–1934. The third volume contains all his original plays: “Days” Turbinykh”, “Zoyka’s Apartment”, “Crimson Island”, “Running”, etc. The fourth volume includes dramatizations and dramatic adaptations: “Dead Souls”, “War and Peace”, “Don Quixote”, etc., as well as novels “The Life of Monsieur de Moliere” and “Notes of a Dead Man.” The fifth volume includes the novel “The Master and Margarita” and selected letters.
