The fifth volume of the collected works of the famous Russian writer Yuri Polyakov includes his famous novel “The Mushroom Tsar”, as well as the stories “The Underground Artist” and “The Return of the Prodigal Husband”. Юрій Поляков зумів майстерно поєднати складні теми любові, сім'ї та егоїзму, показуючи, як гроші і матеріальні цінності впливають на наше життя. Особливо вражає есе «Письменник без мандата», де автор ділиться своїм досвідом виживання в непрості часи 90-х, що додає особистісного виміру до всього зібрання творів. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути недосконалим, це не зменшує загального враження від книги. Поляков залишається блискучим оповідачем, і його стиль викликає захоплення. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує глибокі, емоційні та соціально значущі твори!
