The second novel in the “Varvara the Beauty” series. A former journalism student at the local university, Varvara, after last year’s adventures, wants to raise her baby, but her active life position does not allow her to brush aside the woman whose daughter was taken away from her. Varvara is drawn into the investigation of the disappearance of a child from a foster family, with the help of investigator Alexey, who rescued her from hostage last year. Suddenly it turns out that the foster family is not as ideal as it seems from the outside. And the mother of a large family, entirely consisting of adopted children, turns out to be killed under strange circumstances. Gradually, more and more new circumstances are included in the cycle of events. And the features of forgotten heroes are visible, either Juliet or Othello. Varvara and Alexey are now a team, and they have to unravel this, alas, non-Shakespearean story.

"Чи не Шекспір" - це другий роман із серії "Варвара-краса", і він вражає своєю динамічністю та інтригуючим сюжетом. Головна героїня Варвара, яка намагається знайти баланс між материнством і активною життєвою позицією, втягується в розслідування зникнення дитини, що додає елемент напруги та загадки. Співпраця з слідчим Олексієм створює чудовий дует, який робить історію ще більш захоплюючою. Автор вдало поєднує елементи детективу з глибокими емоційними переживаннями персонажів, що робить їх реалістичними та близькими до читача. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття, загальна якість тексту залишається високою. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить інтригуючі історії з елементами розслідування та глибокими персонажами!
