Joe Anderson arrives at a wealthy home on the Pacific coast as a housekeeper, where famous chef Malcolm McCallum lives, isolated from the rest of the world. Six months ago, an accident occurred on the set of the show: Mac and his assistant Ethan received severe burns. At first, Mac is hostile to the girl, but over time he comes to terms with it, realizing that without her help he will not be able to finish the cookbook, the money from the sale of which will go towards Ethan’s treatment. Determined and purposeful, Jo not only cleans up the house, but also helps Mac deal with his guilt. Jo is also not free from complexes - tall and powerful, like an Amazon, the girl has been accustomed since childhood to consider herself ugly, and therefore tries not to notice the feeling emerging between them. Faced with external obstacles, Joe and Mac almost lose each other and only after understanding themselves do they find hope for happiness.
