“Invisible Voices” is a collection of autofiction stories by contemporary Russian-language authors and finalists of the Popcorn Books open call and the autofiction webzine Autovirus. What is it like to live in a world that wants to see everyone the same? The characters in the collection reflect on this and search for their own path: defending their identity, coping with traumatic experiences, losing and finding a home. They want to make the invisible visible and talk about what we don’t know or know very little about. After all, understanding who you really are when you differ from the proverbial “norm” can be difficult.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
