The fundamental work of Eugeniusz Iwanc, published in Warsaw in 1977, is devoted to describing the causes and consequences of the migration of Old Believers from Russia to the territories currently part of the Republic of Poland. The author of the book used historical, philological, sociological, cultural, religious and ethnographic sources. The monograph is published for the first time in translation into Russian. The publication is accompanied by an expanded bibliography, which reflects the current state of knowledge about the Old Believers living in the territory of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and also contains links to electronic publications in Polish, German and Russian online libraries, as well as in other resources that provide scientific literature in the public domain and periodicals
