Vladimir Dudintsev’s autobiographical story “Between Two Novels” is a collection of memories, tape recordings, excerpts from interviews, and handwritten notes published after the writer’s death by his family. This is a sincere and honest story-monologue about the three decades that separate the publication of Dudintsev’s two most famous, iconic works - the novels “Not by Bread Alone” (1956) and “White Clothes” (1986).
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
