Автор, продовжуючи роботу свого попереднього підручника, зумів створити дійсно вражаюче і детальне введення в лінгвістичну семантику. Книга не лише зберігла структуру попереднього видання, але й істотно розширила її, вводячи нові розділи, які доповнюють та уточнюють матеріал. Особлива увага приділена поясненню складних термінів та концепцій, що допомагає читачеві краще зрозуміти сутність лінгвістичної семантики. Книга також вдалим чином поєднує лінгвістичну семантику з формальною та філософською семантикою, а також сучасною прагматикою, що робить її дуже актуальною та важливою для сучасних досліджень у галузі мовознавства.
