In an attempt to prevent the apocalypse without falling in love, the half-angel Trinity and her gargoyle protector Zane enter into an alliance with demons. The harbinger is approaching... but who or what is it? And if Trinity and Zane cannot win the race against time, while the dark forces grow stronger, then all humanity faces destruction. Tensions grow, they must be inseparable and patrol the night streets of Washington in search of traces of the Harbinger and the entity that kills both Guardians and demons, for no apparent reason. Zane and Trinity are struggling with their feelings because they are forbidden to be together. They turn to an extraordinary source for help: the demon Roth and his associates. But as the deaths increase and they uncover a sinister plot involving the local high school and someone dear to Zane comes under attack, Trinity realizes that she has been manipulated... toyed with for some unknown purpose.
