Ambitious teenager Craig Gilner intends to achieve great success in life. To do this, he must enter the best school, so that he can then get into the best university and get the best job. Here the guy will find the support he needs and even find love, look at his problems from a different angle and find the meaning of life. Ned Vizzini, who himself spent time in a psychiatric hospital, created a surprisingly touching story about an unexpected path to happiness.

Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор, Нед Віззіні, майстерно поєднує гумор і серйозність, створюючи захоплюючу історію про підлітка Крейга Гілнера, який намагається впоратися з тиском сучасного світу. Його подорож до психіатричної лікарні виявляється не лише шляхом до лікування, але й відкриттям нових перспектив на життя. Персонажі, з якими він зустрічається, настільки колоритні та реалістичні, що вони залишаються в пам'яті ще довго після прочитання. Книга змушує задуматися про важливість підтримки, дружби та прийняття себе, а також про те, що іноді шлях до щастя може бути зовсім не таким, як ми його уявляємо. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття тексту, я рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто шукає натхнення та позитивні емоції. Вона дійсно варта уваги!
