Це не просто детективна історія, а глибоке дослідження расових упереджень та системної несправедливості в суспільстві. Я відчувала емоційний зв'язок з Рут, спостерігаючи за її боротьбою за доведення своєї невинності та за справедливість. Книга змушує задуматися про те, як легко можна стати жертвою упереджень і як важливо відстоювати свої права. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які не впливають на загальне сприйняття, я рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує глибокі, соціально значущі історії.
