The book tells about the childhood of the main character, the girl Agafya, who accidentally enters the Other World. “Agafya’s First Labor” introduces readers to the story of the girl’s appearance through the looking glass. There she finds friends - the Chebereichiks - and helps them defeat the tribe of gnomes. In the next story, “The Blue Lotus,” Agafya, at the request of the queen of flowers, Clotilde, and her friends save a rare flower from an evil ogre and greedy trolls.
