In contrast to the topic of foreign broadcasting, the topic of the radio technical struggle between the “socialist” camp and capitalist countries remains practically unknown to the general reader. In this work, the author, Rimantas Pleikis (former Minister of Communications of Lithuania in 1996-1998), examines in detail radio censorship (synonyms: radio protection, radio suppression, jamming, jamming, radio countermeasures, jamming of anti-Soviet radio broadcasts, electronic warfare). Without exaggeration, this article, written in 2002-2003, closes another “blind spot” in the confrontation between two military-political blocs and reveals the technology of radio censorship .Unfortunately, only an electronic version of this study is available for Russian-speaking readers.
