Книга Поля Зюмтора "Повсякденне життя Голландії за часів Рембрандта" є справжнім скарбом для всіх, хто цікавиться історією та культурою. Автор майстерно відтворює атмосферу голландського "золотого віку", коли країна переживала бурхливий розвиток у всіх сферах життя. Читачі отримують можливість зануритися в повсякденність людей різних станів: від простих селян до заможних купців, дізнатися про їхні звичаї, традиції, побут і навіть релігійні вірування. Зюмтор вміло поєднує історичні факти з живими описами, що робить книгу не лише пізнавальною, але й надзвичайно цікавою. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не зовсім ідеальним, це не зменшує загального враження від читання. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче краще зрозуміти культуру та життя Голландії в XVII столітті!
