By the twenty-seventh century, humanity has spread across the galaxy: hundreds of diverse cultures thrive on conquered planets united in the Confederation. Genetic engineering has reached the greatest heights, people have learned to create intelligent spaceships and intelligent artificial planet-biotopes. And even religious differences between Adamists and Edenists do not disturb the peace. A real golden age has arrived. But something has gone wrong: on the planet Lalonde, which is just beginning to be populated, a path to the human world accidentally opens up for an unknown evil - a now extinct race called it “reality dysfunction.” This is a nightmare that has been with us since the beginning of history. Very soon, not only the planet, but also all of humanity is under threat.
