In a new book by literary and cultural theorist Olga Burenina-Petrova, the circus phenomenon is analyzed from all possible sides - not only in the genre components of this art form, but also in its semiotics, history and various interdisciplinary contexts. The book is intended for specialists in the theory of culture and literature, art historians, anthropologists, as well as a wider public interested in these issues. Olga Burenina-Petrova is a Doctor of Philology, teaches at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the University of Zurich (Switzerland).
