This book is dedicated to and inspired by the modern city. Underneath the general cover is a rich mosaic of research approaches and subjects that attempt to capture the variability, multiplicity and ambiguity of urban life. This diversity is united by microurbanism, an approach that offers a “close view” of the city: the ability to see it through the little things and details. With their help, the rich everyday life of the city is revealed and attention is drawn to its main characters - ordinary people who, with their everyday actions, feelings, and moods, create the city, its significant places and routes. Along with familiar, but not yet completely familiar characters - passengers of public transport, participants in wedding processions and ubiquitous tourists, the book introduces the reader to relatively new participants in the life of the city - discoverers of abandoned spaces, listeners of the player, graffiti writers, sellers and buyers of flea markets and many others others. An emotional and dynamic city is created in the living language of the researcher.
