Авторка Тана Хафф майстерно поєднала елементи детективу, фентезі та трилера, створивши динамічний сюжет, який тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Вікі Нельсон, колишній коп і приватний детектив, виявляється у центрі заплутаної справи, де вампіри та перевертні стають не лише персонажами, а й партнерами у боротьбі з таємничим вбивцею. Особливо вразила глибина персонажів, їхні стосунки та емоційні переживання. Кумедні моменти вносять легкість у напружений сюжет, а альтернативна Канада додає особливого шарму. Хоча переклад тексту місцями має недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить нестандартні детективи з елементами фентезі!
