Книга "Мири імперіуму" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у світі наукової фантастики. Автор, Кейт Лаумер, майстерно поєднує елементи пригодницького роману з глибокими філософськими питаннями, ставлячи героя, дипломата Браяна Байарда, у ситуацію, де йому доводиться боротися не лише за своє життя, а й за майбутнє цілого світу. Паралельний світ, в який потрапляє герой, вражає своєю складністю та різноманітністю, а інтрига та напруга тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Лаумер вміло використовує гумор та гротеск, що робить читання ще більш захоплюючим. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки перекладу, які не заважають загальному сприйняттю, книга залишає по собі яскраве враження. Рекомендую всім шанувальникам фантастики та пригод!
