Автор майстерно передає атмосферу тих часів, описуючи дії радянських військ у Заполяр'ї та героїзм торпедних катерів, які забезпечували десантні операції. Читач відчуває себе частиною цієї епічної боротьби, спостерігаючи за сміливими героями, які ризикують своїм життям заради перемоги.
